a view looking up and down from my bear stand

  1. It is a 16' single ladder stand. I built the roof out of treated lumber and the two cross braces hold it in the tree, no screws in the tree. I use that mesh camo wrap around the back and front to break up my outline in the skyline.

I like the mini roof. Always wanted to build something like that myself. I'm always afraid it wouldn't be high enough for my bow though :)

  3. I'm pretty short, only 5'5" and I put the roof 1' over my head, maybe a little higher. This year I will be shooting the Mathews Z7 Xtreme which is a very compact bow. I did have the same concern as you when I put the roof on, next time out I better take my bow and test my shooting area. Thanks for the good idea..
