Rylee, W.D. and David Faber with their first ever Wisconsin trout.

They grilled them already yesterday and their mom said they tasted "great".

Opening morning I took out the new neighborhood boyz that just moved in recently from Florida. None of them had ever fished for trout before. Their mom put in an order for 4 trout for the family's supper before we left.

I spectated most of the morning. All three boyz caught trout and had a grand old time. I taught them what selective/responsible harvest was and we harvested our trout from 3 separate streams. We also harvested the smaller trout and left the larger ones behind to reproduce. This lessens the impact on the trout population by spreading around the harvest so not just one stream has the complete harvest impact.
