Frost Seeding at It's Best

  1. The 1st two pictures are of a clover blend that I Frost Seeded into soybean stubble in March of 2009. The deer hammered on it last fall. The last two pictures are a clover and chicory blend that I Frost Seeded into soybean stubble in March of this year [2010]. I can't believe how good the chicory is coming up. Frost seeding is an easy way to plant and by doing it into the soybean stubble it gives me a fairly weed free plot.

    Looks like you have a very good crop coming along there.
     

  3. That plot looks great Tom. I REALLY like frost seeding. How is that plot doing this year?
     
  4. Plot is doing great. The chicory really took off this year.
