Hello, I'm new to the site. Been ice fishing all my life and love everything about it. I make most of my own equipment and fish Lake St. Clair(Michigan) almost exclusively.

Its about 25 miles square with an average depth of 8'. It's a panfish factory, but consistant walleye fishing is pretty poor through the ice as the fish are out of reach of safe ice most years. Musky fishing is world class, you see some monsters through the ice every year.

If anyone is thinking of making it over this way this winter, let me know and I'll try to get you fresh info.
