My Ermine is Back

  1. Got pictures of my Ermine again. I sort of screwed up as I didn't have the camera mounted low enough and missed a real closeup during the day, only got part of him as you can see in one of the pictures. I think I may have 2 of them as the last picture is several hundred yards from the other setup. For those that don't have Ermines they are in the Weasel Family and turn white in the winter and brown in the summer.

    If you hadn't seen the other photos, you'd swear that was a cat running away...neat photos...

    I had one stalk me and my dog when I was bird hunting last fall...saw him three times, about a hundred yards apart from where he'd been seen the last time. Guess he was hoping for left-overs...:tongue:

    The one picture where the little guy is completely airborn is incredible.
     
  5. Beautiful little critters arn't they. Most people never see them in the white phase. I see them most in the late fall when they start to turn white but the ground is brown. Thanks for sharing the pics.:cool:
