DNR Central Office - One-year implementation delay to help Manitowish chain property owners adapt - - - MANITOWISH WATERS, Wis. -- In an effort to balance environmental, recreational and long-term economic interests, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is issuing a draft of a proposed operating order for the Rest Lake dam in Vilas County that restores a more natural water flow and extends the navigation season with more consistent water levels.
