Trapper Education Course set for Sugar Camp Sept. 7 - 10

    SUGAR CAMP, Wis. – The Wisconsin Trappers Association and the Department of Natural Resources will hold a four-day trapper education course on Tues. Sept- 7, Wed. Sept- 8, Thur. Sept -9 and Fri- Sept. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. each evening at the Sugar Camp Town Hall. All first-time trappers must complete a Trapper Education Course prior to purchasing a trapping license.

    The course includes field exercises that provide participants with "real world" experiences in trapping. Topics will include, but are not limited to, trapping laws, ethics, trap identification and handling, fur handling, sets and set location.

    The Town Hall is on Camp Four Road off Hwy 17 between Rhinelander and the town of Sugar Camp.
