Wolf Trapping

  1. I plan to trap a wolf some day, I did not even bother trying for a permit this year, just a point, not enough vacation to give to the effort, and a lack of suitable equipment. I started on the equipment this weekend, ordered a half dozen Bridger #5 OS coilsprings. I plan to get them rigged up with chain, swivels, and drags, I do not think stakes are a good option. If you are reading this with any experience post something.
  2. You do realise that the Bridger #5 OS with current regulations for Wolf will not be able to be used until later in the season.

  3. Yes, I am aware of the jaw spread limit, but will probably only get a week to trap around the end of the year when I do get a tag. That is why I wanted the #5's, and I will also be able to run cable restraints at the same time, cheaper to buy them than footholds.
